“Düschter, düschter” hätte man wohl in der Schweiz geraunt, wenn die Aufnahmen der Heads. ins Wallis gehallt wären. Aber mal von Anfang an: die Heads. sind aus Berlin, natürlich nicht gebürtig, sondern aus diversen Ecken der Welt zusammengekegelt – Saarland meets Hamburg meets Australien. Der Legende nach wurde der australische Gitarist und Sänger Ed Fraser direkt vom Rollfeld des Berliner Flughafens von Chris Breuer – seineszeichens Basser des Postmetal-Konglomerat The Ocean - in den Proberuam entführt. So oder auch nicht ist das wohl gelaufen. Beide haben dann noch glücklicherweise den Schlagzeuger Peter Voigtmann mit ins Boot geholt und Songs geschrieben. Herausgekommen ist eine “unholy alliance” aus Noiserock, Rotweinstimmungs-90er-Indie (Girls vs. Boys, Nick Cave oder Black Heart Procession, Shellac) und modernerem Kram a la Young Widows – ich will das mal vorsichtig NoiseNoir nennen. Das hier ist nicht nur was für Ü40 alt Indies, die ihre Adoleszenz mit dem Ampetamine Reptile-Gesamtkatalog versüsst haben – neee, hier schwing trotz deutlicher Nähe zu eben diesem echt deutlich mehr mit. Die Stücke sind mächtig, erhaben, majestetisch und voller Seele.
